| Nightly Bertedarus at Istana Nurul Iman concludes with Khatam ceremony |

The nightly reading of the holy Quran or the Bertedarus ceremony held since the beginning of Ramadan at Istana Nurul Iman ended last night with a Khatam Al-Koran ceremony. The function was carried out in the presence of Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Retired Major General Pengiran Haji Ibnu Ba’asith. The recitation of the Al-fatihah verse was led by the State Mufti, Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz. The Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz took the lead in reading of verses of the holy Quran. The ritual was followed by the Bertahlil ceremony which was led by Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Abdul Hamid.
Meanwhile, the Doa Tahlil was read by Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya. There was also a Dikir presentation by mosque officials led by Pehin Khatib Haji Hamidon. Present at the ceremony were pengiran cheterias, cabinet ministers, members of Privy Council, deputy ministers, pengirans, pehin manteris and senior government officers. |
